VietNam – Prime Minister: “Houses built with 10 floors like mini apartments with no way out”

 

For fire and explosion prevention, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed to ensure the right principles. It is wrong for a 10-storey house to be built as a mini-apartment with no way out.

At noon 13/9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directly visited the scene of a particularly serious mini-apartment fire that occurred in Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi city.

Earlier, in the morning of the same day, the head of the Government sent Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang to the scene, directing to overcome the consequences of the fire.

Insisting that it was not after the fire that the inspection was made, the Prime Minister said that this content had previously been done very drastically, but there were some things that were not close to reality so it had to be adjusted.

According to the Government chief, the consequences of the fire were too great. He also pointed out that the management also has loopholes and understands that the condominium must have a way out, ensure fire protection, because fire can happen at any time.

After leaving the scene, the Prime Minister went to Bach Mai Hospital, inspected the rescue work of those in distress, and encouraged the medical staff who were on this task. Bach Mai Hospital is treating many victims of last night’s fire.

The fire occurred at 23:22 on September 12, at the mini apartment at 9/29 Khuong Ha Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City.
